The Truth  About Fish & Wildlife Is A Real Killer

The New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife (F&W) and the Fish and Game Council have complete authority over all of the wildlife in New Jersey.

Each year they allow the slaughter of more than 1 MILLION animals. It is the Division and the Council that are the problem in New Jersey. Not the deer, not the geese, not the bear or the over a dozen other species in NJ.

In the century since Fish and Wildlife was formed, tens of millions of animals have been hunted, trapped and killed. Many millions more have been wounded, crippled and left to die.

Pictured on these pages, are just a few of the animals in our state who die at the hands of New Jersey Fish & Wildlife.

NJ-DFW: A State-Run Hunting Club

Fish and Wildlife (F&W) is a state agency that is part of the NJ Department of Environmental Protection. The salaries of Fish and Wildlife employees are paid for by the sale of hunting licenses and special permit fees. This arrangement creates a conflict of interest because the state agency that should be protecting wildlife, instead relies on their slaughter to ensure its very existence.

The expenditures to the right come from F&W’s 1999 annual report. As can be seen, F&W must sell nearly $10.5 million worth of hunting licenses and special permits, just to cover their salaries and benefits. This results in a state agency acting like a private hunting club.
